Whole Armor of God

He Speaks Today® has developed a new collection of greeting cards –Whole Armor of God. As with the other greeting card collections, there are 12 individual cards. Each serves as a “piece of armor” in our “stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:10-11). Our armor enables us to be stronger in the Lord and, consequently, His power. Through His power, nothing is impossible. This is truly our faith in action.

Each card includes a message or teaching based on the concept and a Scripture Mark™ (Christian bookmark for referencing Scripture). The twelve (12) pieces in order include:

--12 Stones Whole Armor of God: Faith

–12 Stones Whole Armor of God: Faith

  • Faith: Faith is first and foremost in our defense against the enemy. In the true essence of the word, faith is trusting enough to let go and believe.
  • Prayer: Prayer changes things –this is no cliché. Throughout Scripture we see the Lord responding to the prayers of His people –some miracles.
  • Supplication: Scripture tells us to go the Lord in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:5). Through supplication, we humbly enter into the Lord’s presence. It is this humility that allows us to let go and speak sincerely.
  • Love: The Lord calls us to love, but not as the world loves. He calls us to love when others are unkind to us, have hurt us, dislike us… There is power in love.
  • Truth: The Lord’s Word is truth. It is real. It is living. Scripture tells us that the Word became flesh (John 1:14). This incredible blessing allows us to experience a living example under a new covenant.
  • Spoken Word: Jesus said, with faith we can speak to our mountain and it will move. He adds that this makes nothing impossible for us (Matthew 17:20). What a powerful statement!
  • Perseverance: Stick-to-itiveness is essential in achieving our destinies. Most unaccomplished dreams are so because the dreamer gave up and settled for less than the dream.
  • Word of God: The power of Scripture is undeniable. We have the power to change our situations through the use of the Word of God.
  • Service: We are all born with God-given talents –gifted. The Lord calls us to serve (Romans 12:1) according to our abilities.
  • Salvation: Believers were saved from a death sentence by a loving God who bore our sins as His own and humbly took our places –died—so that we might have an opportunity to not only live, but to live with Him forever.
  • Righteousness: A righteous person is one who is in good standing with the Lord, and who sacrifices for the sake of goodness. Those who are righteous live by faith (Romans 1:17). They trust and believe in the Lord, and His promises.
  • Peace: Peace may be defined as freedom from outside influences. Our environment should not change our attitude, since our focus is on the Lord.

Faith in Action

We are ending this calendar year with an introduction to what is to come in 2015 – a focus on faith in action.  Our attempt is to work together in not only being hearers of the Word, but doers …”walking the walk”.

We began this week by “setting our minds” (See our Facebook site – https://www.facebook.com/hespeakstoday).  We went beyond reading and studying Scripture, and worked toward implementing its principles into our lives.

Our plan is to continue with awesome topics that will potentially grow us and advance the Kingdom.  If you have suggestions for potential topics, please email us at contact@hespeakstoday.com.
